Ok, not gonna lie. When I first read the first page of Blaster Nation, by the awesome Leslie and Brad, I cracked up. I’ve never seen a story executed like that at the very beginning before. Needless to say, it had my attention.
This story actually revolves around five individual people, one of which is sitting at the help desk, being useful. His name is Matthew Palmer, a “tabletop gaming aficionado with a love of space marines and magical schoolgirls.” That is his literal description, and I have no problem with that. He lives up to it quite well, despite his rather ruff around the edges father, and has some very interesting character development as the story progresses. Matt has just returned from the air force, and is getting by using the resulting money from his tour. The rest of the characters, I will leave to you to discover.
I love this comic, because although it is completely fictional, it has the qualities and feeling of a biography of five separate characters, and manages to stay true to each of there character types. As stated above, Matt is a tabletop gamer, has a love for space marines, and is quite the eroge enthusiast.
Bet y’all thought I wouldn’t catch those titles in there, but I digress.Overall, it is a great comic with fantastic characters, and is written by two amazing people. I highly recommend you read this comic and give them a follow if you are willing. Can’t wait to read more of this story, and as always, I hope you enjoy as I much as I do.
Man, it’s super painful going back and looking at our old comics, but it’s worth it to see such a nice review! Thank you, comicguy~
