So, I'm working on music composition. Not for a job or anything, but because I REALLY LIKE making music, and I wanna teach musicology in the future. But instead of using composers from the 17th-19th century, I wanna use games as staple point. So I was wondering, what game got you two into seriously listening to game OSTS?

I think the first one to really get into my head was Donkey Kong Country 2. It’s amazing what they were able to do with the SNES. But Sega will never cease to amaze me with their dedication to fucking awesome music. Hearing Sonic Adventure’s soundtrack for the first time was fucking jaw-dropping when I was 12 or so. That quality, that variety, those cheesy fucking lyrics, it was all so fantastic. When I got my first MP3 player that could hold a whopping 12 songs, all I would do was ride my bike and blast Emerald Coast at full blase on my headphones. I still listen to it from time to time.

The first game soundtrack Leslie got hooked on was We <3 Katamari. I remember back in high school she would talk about it constantly. Her most recent favorite is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and we both hope more games in the future incorporate dynamic music like that.

Good luck in your music career!
