Soooo, I deduce you didn't like the Xbox One?

Honestly, what was there to like? I already have a TV with Netflix, I don’t care about sports, I don’t give a fuck about DIRT UNDER FINGER NAILS AND REAL DOGS, and the thought of Steven Spielberg teaming up with CSI to create a Halo TV series both angers and confuses me. Like, I never thought I would be typing those words in that order ever in my life.

I mean, Sony’s PS4 reveal wasn’t great and they still haven’t shown the damn console, but fuck man, at least they showed something resembling VIDEO GAMES

Shit, I really want to answer these tumblr questions I left in my box yesterday, but god damn, they all feel so irrelevant now compared to this giant flaming bag of shit Microsoft left on our collective porches.

A question and a comment.

  • Do you know the feeling when someone that you know shares a common interest that you the both of you  were not aware of? That’s how I felt when I saw your comment on Chip’s Metal Gear Solid let’s play

Edit: WHOOPS ACCIDENTALLY SUBMITTED THIS TOO EARLY

But no, I certainly do now! I’m a big fan of Chip’s videos and I just recently finished his Peace Walker series. God damn were those great.

Seriously, if you guys are going to watch anyone play video games, watch these guys

How do you feel about Brutal Legend?

I absolutely loved it. Yeah, it had a ton of problems. Combat wasn’t exactly revolutionary, the jump to RTS was a bit awkward, it’s way too short. But god damn, I just love everything about the game world. The atmosphere, the environments, the soundtrack, the characters. It’s THE most creative open-world game I know of and god dammit, that makes it a damn special game to me. Hell, I just love the rockstar life, as you can tell by that other comic we have. Brutal Legend took everything I love about rock and metal and just blew it up into something fucking wonderful.

What is your most underrated/undersold game?

My game library consists of nothing BUT super obscure, underrated games that sold like garbage. I guess if I had to choose between my two favorites, it’d be either Raw Danger, a niche survival game on PS2 where you try to escape a city as multiple characters in the middle of a devastating tsunami while putting on silly clothes and engaging in some of the funniest and weirdest dialogue choices ever put into a video game. It’s part of a series of storm-survival games that were mildy successful in Japan but sold like dick in America.

The other is Project Justice, sequel to Capcom’s 3D edutainment game Rival Schools, which has you play as several high school students fighting for school superiority by beating up the other schools. It’s a great little fighting game that was released around the end of the Dreamcast’s life cycle. Pretty hard game to find and I’m lucky to still have my copy. Great roster of characters, ridiculously creative as a fighting game.
