Your posts here and on your webcomic made me finally cave in and get a 3DS and Monster Hunter 3, and I have absolutely no regrets! But, from your experience, is it just as good on the Wii-U? How much more fun is it with local multiplayer?

It’s the exact same game as the Wii-U version, but without the second analog stick and less pretty and no online. Leslie and I are having WAY too much fun with local multiplayer! So much that it actually interferes with comic stuff sometimes because god damn we just gotta murder one more Duramboros.

Zelda is, in almost every incarnation, a character who is primarily concerned with avoiding direct conflict whenever possible. Link, being Courageous (and a bit foolhardy) is all about rushing in and attacking dudes, whereas Zelda, being the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, picks her fights carefully. In OoT, she disguises herself and works in the shadows instead of attacking directly; in TP, she peacefully surrenders her kingdom so more of her citizens wouldn’t be attacked by the Twili.

Even when she is forced into combat, she almost ALWAYS uses long-distance means such as magic or arrows (or magic arrows)

Thus, it made sense for me for this to carry over into her playing style. She has very little physical prowess and is all about being stealthy and inconspicuous when out of combat, and playing keep away and striking from a distance with powerful magic when in it. If she has a sword, it’s almost entirely used as a quick and dirty last resort when cornered at close-distances so she can escape to a comfortable distance (or for channeling magic).

More drastically, since Hyrule’s royalty and Hylian myth in general is so tightly associated with birds, I gave her a magical Sheikah cape that allows her to jump, float, and eventually full-on fly into the air until her magic bar runs out, as to quickly outmaneuver foes and attack from above.

I tend to alternate between a lot of different weapons, though. Leslie’s focusing on collecting every type of hammer and switchaxe available. I myself am cycling through greatswords, longswords, lances, and bowguns.

Waiting for a Nibelsnarf Scalp to drop so I can make this badass bow I want.

Pretty good! I’ve somehow managed to pass up Leslie though, so I’m backing off a bit so she can catch up. I’m at Caedus and she’s still got a few Rank 5 monsters to fight. In the meantime, I’ve just been grinding armor sets and weapons to make our online co-oping easier.

Hopefully at some point, we’ll be able to stream our Monster Hunting co-op adventures!

….is it just me or does the porno version outfit not only look WAY BETTER crafted and prettier, the actress also has more muscles, a nicer fitting chest piece and a waaay more fitting body type and skin tone. 

Also the porno version doesn’t look more “feminine”/more sexy whatever.
