Am I going to have to pay $3.99 to unlock the original comic along with unused layouts?
That’s ONE option, but I would recommend just getting a Blaster Nation Platinum Subscription for just $20 a year to get access to the full pages AND the bonus downloadable porn comics!
how do you feel about the fans reactions to the update?
Well, you know how people can get when things change for the better. I’m sure the people who don’t like it are the same kind of people who went apeshit when the new Devil May Cry was announced. Like, calm down, haters! It’s just the same old thing but with a new haircut!
Is this just a bad April fools joke or is it permanent? Because, to me, it seems like a step in the wrong direction! I would prefer to get a page every second week rather than a box per day!
I don’t know WHY anyone would hate the new format, but I can’t wait to see their faces when TONIGHT’S update happens!

One of your obvious inspirations was Tim Buckley, right. I remember you saying how much you loved him after you finished telling about how much you love DmC.
Y’know, Tim Buckley really is an important figurehead in the webcomics industry and while I respect and admire everything he has done to push this medium forward, I genuinely felt that many of his comics just did not have enough words to carry his art. Luckily, I think Blaster Nation fills that gap perfectly now.
Honestly looking at the format I thought it was going to suck but I actually got used to it a few pages in xD Should be interesting to see my favorite web comic in a new way, keep up the great work you guys :)
I’m glad you like it! Thankfully, the format switch has been met with 100% approval from anyone who has ever read Blaster Nation. So it’s no surprise that we will be keeping this new format forever.
Hell, don’t be surprised if you start seeing Rock Cocks update a panel a week!

i was almost certain there wasnt going to be any updates at all
There almost wasn’t! Leslie only ended up drawing four panels before she ended up locking herself in her room with nothing but her Hulu account to watch Tenchi Universe episodes with and a camera to take pictures of her dog. I ended up having to throw the last two panels together myself, but overall I think those two panels ended up being not only the best part of the update, but the best thing Blaster Nation has ever produced.
I think we’ve finally been able to prove that webcomics are art. Maybe not as art as video games, but closer now than ever.
Cool. I'm really looking forward to how this affects/influences your storytelling. Really seriously excited about this. If you don't mind my prying, could you share which webcomics you looked at that used similar formats/update structures (half because I'm just curious and half because I really like it and yet the only two I can think of off the top of my head are mspaintadventures and Ava's Demon)?
Both Olympus Overdrive and Lemonfont’s Shapeshifter (NSFW) were huge inspirations towards the jump to this new style. Not because they’re good or anything, but because both comics are just SO AWFUL that we had to switch formats to show them how to do it RIGHT.

Oh right I should probably answer the tumblr asks about our webcomic
About to go hunt a Nibelsnarf in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which is this big fucker right here
Apparently, it’s weak to both ice AND electricity.
So the question for me is, do I want to murderize it with my electric chainsaw katana, or do I want to club it to death with a gigantic frozen tuna fish?
Brock, Ash, Sam, and Claptrap are all characters with a propensity towards gratuitous violence and a pretty blase attitude about it. I do think it's odd to have Ash in there if you aren't getting Bruce Campbell to do the voice, though.
I suppose you’re right. I still think the cast choice is pretty questionable, but then that’s probably just be being buttmad that an annoying character like Claptrap or someone completely unrelated to gaming like Ash got in while the impeccable Guybrush Threepwood sits on the sidelines.

(PS: Yes, I’m aware of the Army of Darkness games, but c'mooooon)
Saw the trailer for Telltale’s Poker Night 2. I love Telltale but…why? Why is this a thing?
Like, don’t get me wrong, I love most of these characters by themselves and I love the original Poker Night, but the chemistry between the Poker Night 1 characters. Tycho’s internet rivalry with Strongbad, Max sharing his love of violence with Heavy, each character had a genuinely interesting dynamic between each other.
But this time, it’s just…I dunno. It just feels dumb to have THESE characters together. Like, yeah, I can see Brock and Ash buddying up (if there’s not a single Pokemon joke, MISSED OPPORTUNITY), and I can see some fun with Claptrap and Glados (as much as I don’t like Claptrap), but why the hell is Sam there now? He stands out so much, and he really shouldn’t considering this is a Telltale game.
I have faith that Telltale’s writers can still make this a great time, but I just think it’s a really weird choice of a cast. ESPECIALLY since Bruce Campbell isn’t voicing Ash. Like, what’s even the point in that?
Shit, I don’t even get why they need all these special guests. They have a ton of great characters they can potentially use. You know what my dream game would be, consisting exclusively of characters Telltale has used before?
These guys.
…And maybe Kenny from Walking Dead if I had to substitute one of them.

This remix is amazing and it just makes me want a Vita so damn bad for this game
