sofizh asked:

How is Manga Studio compared to photoshop?

They’re a lot different. The version of Photoshop I have is Photoshop CS3, and it seems more geared towards general photo-manipulation/digital art stuff. I use it manly for coloring comic pages or doing digital paintings.

Manga Studio EX 4, on the other hand, was made specifically with digital comic makers in mind. It’s inking tools are SO much better than anything I can get in Photoshop: the lines are crazy crisp without being choppy, and it has amazing pressure sensitivity if you’re using a tablet. Also the rulers in Manga Studio are so helpful, and there’s nothing like them in Photoshop. You can also color in Manga Studio, but I’m so use to coloring in Photoshop I haven’t looked too much into it.

SO BASICALLY if you’re comparing the two, I’d break it down like this: If you wanna do a lot of digital coloring/painting, I’d suggest looking into Photoshop. If you wanna make digital black and white comics with screentones, I’d go with Manga Studio.

Have you guys ever tried the gundam vs series for pswhatever? They're such great games and I feel like they're constantly flying under the radar because they're japan only(minus arcade cabinets). You guys should try it, it's both anime and video games(!)

What a coincidence, I HATE BOTH OF THOSE THINGS

But nah, I’ve only played one of the Gundam fighters for PS1. I was never TOO into Gundam, just a passive observer of whatever series played on Toonami at the time. But I’ll totally youtube some footage of those games.
