Now Playing Tracks

I’m honestly not all that bothered by the lighting change in Dark Souls II. While it sucks some of the graphical effects are missing, I really didn’t like how absolutely black the dark was in contrast to the super bleached out lighted areas. But I never got to play the beta, so maybe it was just the way it came out on certain capture devices.

I’m actually kinda glad the lighting change happened, because constantly having to carry around a torch and light shit up sounds way more tedious than fun.

No stream tonight, unfortunately. Apparently all the crazy shit we’ve been doing has killed our ISP’s data usage cap.

So instead, I’m gonna edit together our last couple playthroughs so they’ll be ready for youtube, answer some tumblr asks, and get some goddamn scripts written. We’ll start streaming MGS3 on Wednesday!

Why hasn't the Wii U done as good as well in sales when it has so many games and is backwards compatible with Wii games (along with stuff from the Wii U marketplace)? I could just look it up with google but I felt like asking you because you seem to be pretty knowledgeable and up to date with gaming.

Nintendo is terrible when it comes to third parties, and no one wants to even bother. Unfortunately, Nintendo will always get passed up when it comes to the yearly Call of Duties, Battlefields, Assassin’s Creeds, etc., and those are the big games nowadays.

Nintendo does okay on Mario, and it did great because with the Wii because they tapped into a new market without having to spend all their money on HD gaming. HD gaming is so expensive that nothing outside of blockbuster triple-A titles can survive, and now that Nintendo’s been dragged into the HD era, it’s losing money big time.

It’s a shame, because as far as the new consoles go, the Wii U has the most games I’m looking forward to so far. But then I’m not a fan of the previously mentioned games.
