Couldn't that watch dogs comparison be between the Next Gen and Current Gen versions though? I can't imagine they'd fuck up the quality that much on it.

I was hoping that was the case, too (though hoping is probably too strong of a word), but unfortunately, this video confirms that it was the PS4 version.

It really is just that bad.

Watch_Dogs 2012 vs 2014 comparison

I’ve just been staring at this gif in amazement for like the past ten minutes now. It’s just…amazing how much shittier it looks.

I think this generation has had more amazing disappointments than amazing games, and next-gen isn’t looking great either. It just makes me so incredibly depressed to see shit like that.

Like, remember when when you used to watch E3 reveals and there was always that wonderful anticipation? Like, “oh my god, if it looks THIS good so early in development, imagine how it’ll look on LAUNCH DAY!” But now with modern triple-AAA gaming, every reveal has to be taken with a grain of salt, analyzed to figure out what’s a bullshot, what’s clearly scripted, etc.

I get that games will change heavily during development, sure, but fuck. Just watching early demos of Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, Watch_Dogs, etc, seeing the promise of a fantastic game and getting left with the final product is just making me bitter.

At least Kojima always delivers, so Ground Zeroes will still be fine. Plus, there’s always the indie dev scene.

(Big thanks to @Sarochi1 for this comp comparing my art to the Tropes vs Women. Read full article.)

Long Story Short: You stole my art, used it for commercial purposes, and won’t even respond to my polite inquiries.

Financial and legal complications aside, I hope you understand…

Hah.

Really not even the least bit surprising. Her video content was directly stolen from various Let’s Plays and she’s pretty much just directly reading off of tvtropes, if that wasn’t obvious enough.

YO, we just got a whole bunch of print/paper examples from Print Ninja and they are niiiice. We know EXACTLY what we want to go with. CAN’T WAIT TO GET STARTED ON THIS BOOK.

Of course, that’s gonna have to wait. We’re gonna stream MGS2 again, and this time it’s gonna WORK goddammit. We’ll start in about thirty minutes, so if you wanna get comfy, go on ahead!

Aside from having glorious HD monkey butt (and how!), how're you guys liking DKC:TF?

LOVING IT.

Kinda wish it was a little more co-op friendly, though. Much like DKCR, it feels like co-op was kind of an afterthought, as most things don’t really accommodate it, like barrel blasting or Rambi or rocket barrels. I wish they would’ve put more time into making them better for two players. I mean, how hard could it have been to add a second rocket barrel or Rambi for your co-op partner? It’s still better than DKCR’s co-op, mostly because they actually zoom out the camera a bit more, but it’s my one major gripe with the game.

As a platformer, though, we love it. It’s inventive, challenging, and ridiculously fun. And much like everyone else, we can’t stop listening to the soundtrack.

Does Matt have any interest in Warhammer Fantasy or are there not enough video games of it for him

Yeah, Matt likes fantasy Warhammer, just not as much as 40k. Matt likes guns and military, so 40k is obviously a little suitable for him. I actually have more experience playing fantasy Warhammer myself, as I used to rock a charming snaggle-toothed rapscallion. One day, we might actually do something with that experience within the comic.

Hey I need a web-host for a webcomic I made, can you give me a Idea of whats out there that's descent? Thanks Homes! (Over exaggerated gangster pose.)

When we first started out, we used dreamhost! They were really nice people with funny newsletters and good tech support. Combine that with comicpress and you’ve got a good, cheap foundation for a webcomic place!

GANGSTA POSE

Real sorry about the whole no-page thing today. Don’t think we’re squandering this day off, though! Leslie and I have been prepping up for the first ever Blaster Nation book, going over quote assessments and whatnot. Thanks to Leslie’s supreme diligence, we still have high-res versions of EVERY BN page except for two of them, in which she still has high-res inks for them. So all we’d have to do is recolor them and we’re good.

But yeah, this is super exciiitttiiiing! I think all her life, Leslie’s wanted to make a print book more than anything, and hopefully within the next couple of months, we can make that dream come true!

Today, Leslie’s going to work on our next Slipshine story, but in-between that, we’re also going to decide on what we want to do for Kickstarter print rewards. If anybody has any suggestions on what they’d want to see in a BN print, let us know!

I’m also going to be answering tumblr asks in-between playing the South Park game. Later tonight at 6:00 CST, we’ll stream Metal Gear Solid 2!

Sorry guys, but we’re going to have to delay this page until Friday. Leslie’s been feeling kinda bluh artistically and would feel better if we had a little more time so she can catch a break. We all have these kind of off-days, and I don’t want to force her to do anything. We’ll be right back on Friday.

We’ll still stream tomorrow if you want to see us return to Metal Gear Solid 2! Stop on by tomorrow at 6:00 CST for some tactical espionage action!
